Emap Consumer Media is revamping its main golf and motorcycle websites to focus on user generated content and e-commerce
Changes to Todaysgolfer.co.uk and Motorcyclenews.com , the company has claimed, are part of a drive to look for new revenue generation streams as Emap invests in its digital platforms.
Golf enthusiasts can now book tee times online through a 24 course pilot scheme - expected to extend to 100 courses in April.
The site also plans to offer golfing holidays and online shopping as well as user-generated course and equipment reviews and video uploads.
Bike fanatics will similarly be able to contribute their news, bike and product recommendations and reviews.
Motorcyclenew.com will also embrace sales by offering a market place for bike transactions.
