On Friday Guardian.co.uk is hosting a live Q&A session on careers in online journalism.

Journalism.co.uk will be joined by representatives from the Manchester Evening News and Liverpool Echo and Post to offer advice about the sector.

Paul Gallagher, head of online editorial at MEN, Sarah Hartley, digital editor for the Guardian, and Alison Gow, executive editor, digital, for the Liverpool Echo and Daily Post will join Guardian Careers' own site editor Laura-Jane Filotrani for the event. To submit a question visit the Careers talk forum page , where you'll need to register.

Responses will be posted by the panel on Friday between 1-4pm BST and later republished on the Journalism.co.uk Editors' Blog .
