Other information: I am a travel writer and editor with almost ten years' experience, both in the field and as head of a publishing team. I specialise in sustainable and ethical tourism, including community based initiatives, national parks, animal welfare in tourism and women's rights.
I have researched and published articles on issues including elephant trekking, sea turtle hatcheries, the ethics of zoos, volunteer teaching abroad and the challenges faced by female entrepreneurs in developing countries. These reports have been picked up by media organisations including the Press Association and BBC Wildlife Magazine.
I have lived in seven countries in Europe, Latin America and Africa, and travelled to 30. I am a native English speaker and speak fluent Spanish and basic Portuguese.
