Guardian.co.uk has signed a deal with advertising agency AdGent 007 to expand its online ad sales in Europe.

This follows Audit Bureau of Circulations Electronic (ABCe) figures for November, which showed that  63.3 per cent (26,043,707) of unique users of the Guardian site - the most popular popular UK newspaper website in terms of unique users - came from outside of the UK.

Guardian.co.uk is the latest UK publisher to partner with AdGent, following deals with Johnston Press, the Independent, Telegraph and Bauer Media last year.

"The Guardian has a global reputation and through Guardian.co.uk reaches millions of people around the world. By working with AdGent 007 we will be enhancing the opportunity for advertisers to reach this audience and monetising traffic to our site more effectively," said Chris Pelekanou, sales director at Guardian News and Media Limited, in a press release from the agency.
