ITV has expanded its online local service beyond the Meridian trial region and into London and Central areas.
The service enables users to watch their local news bulletins online as well as providing other editorial such as weather, 'what’s on' guides and documentaries.
Classified advertising, business listings, property, dating and jobs are also thrown into the mix.
ITV's aim is that user-generated content will play a key role in the development of the sites as users are able to upload their own video packages.
However, the video elements of the service can't yet be viewed on a Mac. A problem that ITV say will be eradicated in time as develops.
Jeff Henry, director of ITV Consumer said: "London, Central and Meridian are three of the biggest regions in the UK, covering around 45 per cent of the UK population and giving us a fantastic springboard for the growth of this brand new content channel."
