The JournalismAI Discovery Lab — an e-learning initiative from the London School of Economics, supported by the Google News Initiative — has relaunched with a new and improved suite of online modules.
Currently available in English and Spanish, the platform empowers journalists, editors, and product managers to explore how artificial intelligence is transforming the news industry at their own pace, with more languages on the way.
The first course, Foundations, covers the essentials of AI through five interactive modules, updating and expanding on content first delivered to more than 16,000 learners worldwide. Participants gain core understanding, discover global case studies, and receive a certificate upon completion. The Discovery Lab is aimed at those new to AI but also serves as a helpful refresher, with no prior experience required.
While the new platform is rolling out in English and Spanish, existing email-based courses will continue to serve French, Portuguese, and Arabic speakers, with a full relaunch expected soon.
