IPC SouthBank, in partnership with Picsel Technologies, will launch a mobile version of its women's glossy Marie Claire.

Set to launch later in the spring, the mobile Marie Claire will be a weekly subscriber-based service available on WAP-enabled phones.

Web editor Carla Bevan will take responsibility for the service.

Richard Johnstone, Marie Claire publishing director, said: "Web and mobile technology is clearly playing a greater role in our readers' lives. So giving readers the ability to interact with Marie Claire on a mobile platform is an exciting opportunity both for them and for advertisers."
