Perkins will be accountable for the titles TV section covering approximately 30 pages each issue, he told Journalism.co.uk, including three pages of features and news at the front and two terrestrial highlights and three digital highlights each day.
He joins from the BBC where he was most recently a schedule information co-ordinator.
He has also worked as a planning assistant, assistant content producer and as a researcher on the Top of the Pops website for the broadcasting corporation, as well as freelancing in his spare time.
