We are a successful, dynamic, independent company publishing B2B titles for the contemporary live music industry, both in the UK and internationally. We need an experienced journalist to join our team and help continue the 18-year-old company’s rapid growth.


The right applicant will have had several years experience as a local newspaper (preferred) or business magazine reporter (not purely online) and possess the highest standards of traditional print journalism. Sub-editing experience and knowledge of the music industry would be assets.


Our LIVE UK (www.liveuk.com) publication is the only B2B magazine dedicated to the business side of the British contemporary live music industry, while AUDIENCE (www.audience.uk.com) is the leading international equivalent, with a circulation spanning 80 countries worldwide. As well as producing the seasonal magazine Festival, we also have several annual publications, plus annual conference (www.liveuksummit.com) and awards (www.livemusicawards.co.uk) events.


The ideal candidate will enjoy producing objective hard news, as well as making the boring stuff interesting, write modest-sized features and upload news to our new websites, working closely with the Managing Editor. 


Javing the confident to deal with people at the highest level of the live music business (as well as the lowest) is essential, as are being self-motivated, ambitious to meet people & build contacts, be willing to embrace new opportunities and have a good sense of humour.


The ability to thrive under pressure and be fearless in chasing leads are important characteristics the successful applicant will need. Knowledge of InDesign and WordPress, and experience with page layout would be a bonus.
