Debtwire, the leading financial newswire for the fixed income markets, is looking for a driven journalist to expand its project finance coverage for its Debtwire CEEMEA product.
Debtwire CEEMEA’s restructuring coverage provides actionable intelligence for subscribers on situations across Central and Eastern Europe/CIS/Russia, Middle East and North Africa, plus sub-Saharan Africa.
Working on the news desk, the restructuring reporter will be chasing leads and publishing news ahead of all other media outlets. This encompasses unravelling new distressed/restructuring situations, chase mandated advisors, reporting on requests for proposals and financing terms across the life of the restructuring.
You will be responsible for producing commentaries on negotiations between creditors and borrowers. You will focus entirely on off-diary reporting and reporters are expected to use their own initiative to uncover leads from market sources. The position will offer the opportunity for foreign travel and moderating at conferences.
This role requires an analytical mind, a high attention to detail and a proactive approach to relationship development and source building in investment banks, law firms, advisors, funds, companies and governments.
What’s in it for you:
- 25 days paid leave + local bank holidays
- Private healthcare
- Company pension scheme
- Employee assistance program/save as you learn scheme
- Employee social club
- Pool table/subsidised gym/other staff discounts and more.
