New Internationalist is recruiting a new magazine co-editor.

We are looking for a talented writer and experienced editor with strong analytical skills who is passionate about human rights journalism. Dynamic, disciplined and versatile, you will be comfortable representing New Internationalist externally and ideally have a network of international contacts. You are committed to tackling oppression and injustice.

For nearly 50 years, we have delivered a unique form of global journalism with a focus on social justice and equality. Our stories cover those places overlooked by the mainstream, enable people to speak for themselves and celebrate a better way of doing things.

This is a permanent position in a small, committed and busy team.

New Internationalist is part of a co-operative based in Oxford, which also runs online outfit the Ethical Shop.

Salary: £30,930 pro rata

Hours: Full time, 35 hours a week (or 0.8 - 1 FTE)

Location: Remote working, with willingness to undertake periodic travel to Oxford head office.
