The St Helens Star and Wirral Globe are looking for an outstanding community content editor.
This is a newly created position working across the newspapers and websites of two of Newsquest's strongest weekly titles - which we have big ambitions to grow and develop.
For this key role on our Merseyside team we are looking for a top-class journalist to find the good news stories our communities want us to tell.
As our community content editor, you will work with communities and contacts to build relationships and unearth enthusiastic community contributors.
You will be responsible for setting up content sources and assist with producing new platforms for print and online by taking complete ownership of them.
You will have great story-telling abilities, be a people person and have outstanding digital skills.
The role involves holding regular forums with groups of content contributors to build strong relationships and develop high quality engaging content.
The role is ideally suited to a senior journalist with NCTJ/NQJ qualifications.
The role will initially be home-based. There will be the option of working from the Cheshire/Merseyside regional newsroom in Warrington from summer 2021.
