Award-winning Newsquest Cumbria is looking for an experienced community content editor to join the team. Working on the county weekly The Westmorland Gazette, daily The Mail and online The Cumberland and Westmorland Gazette we are looking for a journalist to help develop a sustainable source of engaging community network content.
The community content editor will work with communities or contacts when necessary or as required to build relationships with community content contributors. They will be responsible for setting up content sources and assist with producing new platforms for print and online by taking complete ownership of them.
The successful candidate will have great story-telling abilities, be a people person and have outstanding digital skills.
The role involves holding regular forums with groups of content contributors to build strong relationships and develop high quality engaging content from them.
The ideal candidate will be NCTJ qualified or working towards the NCTJ.
