GlobalCapital, the capital markets' go-to newspaper for news, analysis, trends, insight and opinion, is looking for an experienced journalist/editor to run its corporate bond coverage.

The successful candidate will lead and write coverage of Europe's investment grade corporate bond markets writing daily stories and contributing to the weekly print edition with news, opinion and features on the latest deals, trends, regulations and people moves.

The newspaper expects its journalists to make themselves as much a part of their markets as its contacts and readers are and so there will be plenty of opportunity for international travel, take part in industry events — including playing a leading part in GlobalCapital's own bond awards — and to meet and get to know the key people in the market. Candidates already established in covering capital markets will be at a particular advantage.

For more experienced candidates there is the chance to help manage and edit other members of GlobalCapital's corporate financing desk so the vacancy should appeal to anyone interested in or with experience of management and editing, although this is not an essential requirement.

The ideal candidate will have a strong idea of where GlobalCapital's corporate financing coverage should be headed within an understanding of the newspaper's identity and place in the markets it covers.

There will also be the opportunity to earn extra income by contributing to GlobalCapital supplements and the job comes with a bonus package tied to performance.
