Newsquest Berkshire is looking for a new crime and court reporter.
This rare opportunity will see the right candidate thrive on one of the UK’s liveliest patches, covering major stories which will often appear as our top online article and print newspaper splash.
Primarily focusing on crime in Reading for our Reading Chronicle title, you will also receive bylines in our associated titles, including Bucks Free Press, Bracknell News and Slough Observer.
We are looking for a self-motivated and talented reporter to join our award-winning team.
The successful applicant for this role needs to be an enthusiastic self-starter who can find stories, make contacts and fit in with our hard-working team, writing across print, web and social media.
Applicants must be fully NCTJ qualified – including 100wpm shorthand – and have experience of covering the criminal courts.
Candidates must also hold a full, clean UK driving licence.
