Successful international magazine publisher and exhibition organiser UKi Media & Events, based in Dorking, Surrey, has an exciting opportunity for a talented and enthusiastic deputy editor to join its automotive and motorsport editorial team.
The successful candidate will be a key member of a growing team, working on flagship titles including Engine + Powertrain Technology International, Professional Motorsport World and Automotive Testing Technology International.
The role involves producing brilliant print titles that have excellent content, both written and visual, ensuring ‘flick-ability’ with every page. It also includes working on – and growing – the digital presence for the three magazine brands.
The successful candidate will have experience in commissioning content, flat-planning and preparing copy for subbing and proofing as well as being organised and able to meet deadlines.
Responsibilities will also include writing features and news stories for both print and online, chasing in copy, picture research and generally helping the editor manage the titles on a daily basis. Being comfortable working in InDesign and a knowledge of WordPress is preferable but not essential.
A good knowledge of and passion for the automotive and motorsport industries will be an advantage.
There will be the opportunity for international travel and a requirement to attend a wide range of industry and brand events, including new car launches and automotive tech days.
Salary will be commensurate with ability and experience. A full UK driving license and a passport are a must for this role.
