Editor, Soul & Spirit magazine, Aceville Publications Ltd

Do you have what it takes to join the UK's best women’s spiritual title? If you are educated to degree level, have a passion for women's magazines, are commercially driven and have a head full of feature ideas – then you could be just what we are looking for. With a strong eye for detail and an excellent grasp of grammar and the English language, you'll be an experienced journalist and a confident and accurate writer adept at adjusting your style to suit a target reader. You will have a commercial head, be skilled in social media, and an ability to engage with an audience. Good subbing skills are a prerequisite for this role.

You may already be a deputy looking for a new challenge or a features editor who wants to take the next step up. You’ll be involved with all aspects of production, ensuring you hit tight deadlines month after month, be highly organised and able to work with the editor to produce 12 issues a year alongside a small, driven and super-skilled team of design, promotions and advertising staff.

You will need to be just as comfortable commissioning spiritual experts to write reader-friendly copy, liaising with PRs and subbing the work of our columnists, to helping to create inspiring features lists and engaging social media campaigns.

With your finger firmly on the digital and social media pulse, you'll know just the right hook to appeal to our followers, and will be able to inspire your team to generate creative copy for Soul & Spirit’s multi-media platforms.

If writing and commissioning engaging copy and heading up a successful and expanding national publication sounds like a challenge you're equipped for, we want to hear from you.

This role is full-time and based at our offices in Colchester, Essex.
