The digital content executive plays a crucial role in helping to shape our future, playing a key part in delivering our ambitious digital development plans in 2017 while ensuring that we continue to maintain our amazing current online growth.

The digital content executive will oversee the editorial content for Newtrade’s online offerings, particularly focusing on betterRetailing.com and betterWholesaling.com, working with journalists, our events and marketing teams and retailer bloggers to plan and execute a regular flow of relevant and timely content.

You will help drive success by adding value to our market-leading print titles and build up a library of resources to help position our websites as online hubs for retailers, wholesalers and manufacturers.

Key capabilities

Essential

  1. Highly organised with great planning skills and a track record of hitting deadlines.

  2. An understanding of what makes good content for different audiences including blogging, news, and social media interactivity across UK platforms.

  3. Good people skills including creation of online communities and an understanding of software and platforms including Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn.

  4. Good communication skills including examples of working with stakeholders at all levels, involvement in successful teamwork and the ability to work on their own initiative.

  5. Excellent spelling, grammar and proofreading abilities.

  6. The ability to create accurate, informative and intelligent reports and produce data analysis that creates value.

  7. Good graphic design skills and ability to use Adobe Illustrator, InDesign and Photoshop.

  8. A good understanding of HTML, Wordpress and other CMS.
