An exciting opportunity has arisen with The Scottish Sun Digital team for the role of Homepage Editor. Reporting to the Head of Digital they will play a key part in the team, there to grow the audience of thescottishsun.co.uk and constantly improve the quality and quantity of publishing within the site.
To manage thescottishsun online homepage, maximising traffic with or in the absence of the Head of Digital, editing and improving stories to ensure the highest standard of presentation and best digital practice, liaising with colleagues across departments to check for updates, fresh lines and pictures and always aiming to improve the speed of publishing and updating of the homepage.
The candidate will be required to be fully aware of legal issues and the PCC Code of Conduct and IPSO standards, work a 5 day week across a 7 day rota and have Digital production experience in a fast-paced national news environment. They must also posses excellent communications skills, know what a Scottish Sun user wants and how it can be delivered and be able to build a news story quickly, accurately and in Scottish Sun style.
