As Editor of 3D Artist you’ll create an exciting specialist magazine and inspire and lead the team to deliver high quality editorial, print deadlines and improve copy sales and profitability, as well as develop and manage the magazine brand in all other relevant media.
You’ll take the lead role in the planning and delivery of the content, maintaining the current quality level, and developing and improving the existing feature formats to keep the magazine fresh and exciting. This is a hands-on role where you’ll be involved at every stage from passing copy and ensuring that style and focus are met, to fronting key written content, and meeting readers and advertisers at events. You’ll lead the editorial team, ensuring deadlines are met and the magazine runs effectively, manage the budget, and work closely with the management team to shape the vision and long term strategy.
You’ll have demonstrable editorial experience at Deputy Editor level or above on a newsstand magazine, and have an interest in the subject matter. You’ll have the confidence and experience to lead and manage an ideas-driven editorial team. Highly organised, with a calm approach, you’ll be skilled at meeting short and frequent deadlines. When you're not crafting editorial content, you'll be playing a key role in identifying commercial opportunities and working closely with the advertising team to identify new revenue opportunities. In addition you’ll have a high proficiency in social media.
It goes without saying that as Editor you’ll have excellent attention to detail and be an excellent communicator. You’ll be naturally confident when meeting readers, PRs and clients and have experience delivering presentations. You’ll be skilled at working under your own initiative, and also be a genuine team player capable of collaborating closely with your team.
To apply please submit your CV and an inspiring covering letter that tells us why you'd be a great fit for this exciting editing role.
