We publish our own news, analysis and unique fund manager performance information that helps our readers make the best decisions about where to place their clients’ money. And we do it all with a great deal of style. We create beautiful magazines and indispensable websites and we hold great events all around the world from Bangkok to Montevideo and many places in between.

We started out in 1999 and there are now around 220 of us – most of us in Vauxhall, London where we’re surrounded by nice pubs and green spaces and served by superb transport links. The Role

Reporting to Citywire’s Head of Asia, your role will be responsible for all editorial output for Citywire Asia. Your duties will be to instigate, commission and edit high quality news for Citywireasia.com and the monthly magazine across Singapore and Hong Kong. Citywire Asia’s content is focused on the wealth management and fund management industry, as well as Citywire’s analysis of its own unique data.

Your organisation skills will be excellent and you will be technically focused, but you will also enjoy dealing with readers and contributors. Having a strong understanding of investment, including funds, your work will be of very high quality. With responsibility for the regional editorial team, team leadership skills are important.

Key Responsibilities:

  • · Writing daily news stories on the Asian wealth management community and asset management business.

  • · Commission and edit articles from the regional editorial team.

  • · Interview wealth managers and fund managers for print, online, and video.

  • · Deal efficiently with freelance journalists, private banks, asset management companies, and public relations executives

  • · Create, edit and proofread investment graphics using Lipper for Investment Management (LIM) and Excel. (Previous experience of LIM not required as training will be given, but technical aptitude is a must.)

  • · Work closely with the design team on compelling feature treatments

  • · Edit monthly print magazine and daily news

  • · Be able to chair roundtables and conferences to a high standard

  • · Manage the regional editorial team

What you’ll need:

  • · A minimum of four years journalism experience

  • · Fluency in English (both written and verbal communication)

  • · Qualification in journalism, media or a similar field is preferable

  • · Experience in reporting/writing for the wealth management and asset management industry is advantageous

  • · Excellent writing and editing skills

  • · Strong source development skills

  • · Strong team leadership skills
