AlphaWeek is looking to hire a journalist produce insightful, original content focusing on the global alternative investment industry.

Based in London, UK, the successful candidate will:

  • Have a passion for finance and alternative investments and want to write about the industry
  • Have a minimum of 5 years’ experience covering hedge funds and alternative investments, and/or demonstrate a sound fundamental knowledge of alternative investments
  • Be able to write engagingly in a variety of formats – from short news snippets to longer-form pieces
  • Be able to hit deadlines
  • Be able to multi-task, working on several projects/assignments in parallel
  • Have some experience of maintaining websites
  • Have a basic understanding of search engine optimisation (SEO)
  • Preferably have experience moderating live events, either in-person or digitally (i.e. webinars), although this is not required
  • Be legally able to work in the United Kingdom

  • Be comfortable in a start-up environment
  • Be able to work effectively alone
  • Be able to take the initiative and use good judgement when doing so
  • Be a good decision-maker
