Job title: New Reporter, Competition Law - Freelance

Location: London, Washington DC or remote working

Rates: DoE

Global Competition Review (GCR) is a leading antitrust law news service and magazine, published by Law Business Research, with subscribers within government enforcement, the legal industry and the wider business community on six continents. 

We are looking for a freelance News Reporter to join GCR to cover regulatory agencies, court cases and law firms that shape antitrust and regulatory policy around the world. Working in a fast-paced environment, the reporter will be expected to rely on original reporting to produce daily stories and craft engaging copy about issues that affect widely-read news service.

The role would suit someone with experience in reporting on competition matters, or a highly-experienced business or regulatory journalist. They can be based anywhere in the world or join our newsroom in DC and London, and will report into our editors in those offices. 

Requirements

What we are looking for:

  • Experience in reporting on competition and/or antitrust matters, or a highly-experienced business or regulatory journalist
  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
  • A degree in journalism, communications or law
