Location: London, United Kingdom
Type Of Employment: Full-time
Industry: Media / Publishing
Experience: Entry or Mid Level
Incisive Media is an AOP 'Digital Publisher of the Year' serving a wide range of financial, business technology and professional services markets globally. An entrepreneurial and creative, digital-facing organisation on the cutting edge of media.
Professional Pensions is looking for a top correspondent who can break news both the nationals and our competitors feel they cannot ignore; write probing analysis and also pen more in-depth features, case studies and interviews.
PP is the most widely read newspaper and website for the pensions profession, and is closely followed by companies with pension schemes, government and the City desks of national newspapers.
Most importantly we are looking for someone who will develop productive contacts and generate off-diary and exclusive copy for both our magazine and online audiences.
Our correspondents assume full multi-media roles so we are also looking for someone who is comfortable writing for both magazine and online audiences as well as presenting at seminars and online audio/video broadcasts after suitable training.
You will be able to file penetrating leads; help keep our website fed with up to the minute news; write analysis and features; as well as being able to speak fluently as either a presenter or interviewer at seminars and online audio/video broadcasts.
We will be looking for someone committed to thinking ahead of the competition, with a good portfolio. Does this sound like you?
This is an ideal opportunity for candidates with either one year’s experience; an NCTJ / Masters in Journalism; or equivalent qualifications or work experience.
Additional responsibilities include:
Writing for both magazine and online audiences, generating high quality 'must-read' content for those who work in UK occupational pensions.
Representing Professional Pensions in the market and attend key events as well as presenting at seminars and online audio/video broadcasts after suitable training.
Establishing and developing information sources among the audience, industry contacts and trade bodies.
This is an ideal opportunity for writers to further develop their skills in a fast-paced publication.
Journalism experience is ideal (preferably within pensions) but not essential and this role is very much open to those looking to begin a career in journalism.
A Masters in Journalism, NCTJ or similar qualification would be advantageous.
