Global Water Intelligence is looking for a talented, determined and bright Junior Editor to join our Oxford team full-time to deliver insightful articles on the global water market, with a focus on water technology. We are an independent publisher and events organiser that specialises in high-level business intelligence on the global water sector.
The position would suit a recent graduate with a degree in a relevant field who is looking to begin a career in publishing with a market-leading young company with a very international outlook.
You will be working as part of our content team reporting mainly on the impact of digital technologies on the water space for the GWI magazine and our online WaterData platform. In recent months GWI has been building up its coverage of this exciting aspect of the water sector, and you can make a key contribution to expanding it further. There may also be opportunity for travel abroad.
Writing insightful articles for print on numerous aspects of the digital water space including the impacts of megatrends such as Big Data and the Internet of Things
Conducting interviews with senior level executives in companies across the water industry over the telephone or face-to-face
Developing interesting graphics that help tell a story
Creating, updating and maintaining the content on the Digital Water Hub section of GWI’s online WaterData product
Assisting with other articles for the magazine when required
The ideal candidate will have:
Degree in a relevant field and/or journalism experience
Excellent writing skills and a passion for finding unique angles on a story
A strong interest in digital technology and the ways it is transforming the business world
The ability to engage and network with senior level contacts
The ability to work well within a team and to adapt to different challenges
Good written and verbal communication skills, and a keen eye for detail
Salary: £23,000 (after successful 6-month probationary period, salary may be reviewed)
