Neuro Rehab Times is a UK magazine for professionals and carers working with people with brain and spinal injuries and brain-related diseases such as MS, stroke, Parkinson’s and MND. This year we will:
- Launch the magazine into a number of global territories.
- Step up our online coverage to supplement the print title.
- Launch a sister title in an exciting and growing area of healthcare and wellbeing.
To support our growth, we are looking for an NCTJ-accredited reporter seeking their first or second job in journalism. This is a full-time role comprising news and features writing for print and online across two titles.
You will be working closely with an editor with 15+ years of experience and we will support your progress and improvement as a writer.
We are looking for someone that is:
Adaptable. One day you might be interviewing a family hit by tragedy; the next you could be profiling an amazing piece of brain technology.
Able to show initiative. Your ‘beat’ as a reporter will be global in scale but cover a number of specific topics.
Willing to get out into the field.You may be required to attend conferences in the UK and overseas and return with a pad full of stories and contacts.
Able to write both hard news and creative features, underpinned with excellent research skills.
Digitally savvy to enable us to engage with audiences across the world.
Articulate and confident. Interviewees range from CEOs and doctors to tech entrepreneurs and patient-families.

This is a full-time role, based in our Newcastle upon Tyne office.
Salary: Competitive, DoE.
