Leading international online business-to-business title just-food.com (part of the Aroq group) has a vacancy for a news editor.
just-food.com provides daily news, incisive analysis and considered commentary on the key issues facing the global food industry. The site is read by senior executives at the largest packaged food companies worldwide, including Nestle, Unilever and PepsiCo. We report on the strategies of the major names in the market as they look to adapt to the underlying changes in consumer habits in developed economies around health, the environment and shopping online, as well as the opportunities (and challenges) of doing business in faster-growing emerging markets - and the business impact of geopolitical earthquakes like Brexit and Trump.
We're looking for a journalist with experience in the field of business journalism. Experience of covering the global food industry will be preferred. You will be able to put the daily news from the food sector into context, producing regular analysis on why developments are important for the industry and optimise the content for our online readership. You will also be expected to interview senior industry executives. Over time, you will be expected to lead just-food’s news output.
We need someone who can:
Demonstrate experience as a business journalist (food industry preferred, also interested in FMCG)
Have a passion for the business side of the industry, such as company financials and M&A.
Demonstrate an awareness of core requirements in writing for the web, such as SEO and social media.
Produce accurate content and use good numerical reasoning.
Manage a team of news contributors
What we can offer
Salary will be £24,000 - £26,000 per annum (depending upon experience) plus a profit share bonus scheme. Additional perks include; healthcare cash plan, holiday increasing with service, life assurance scheme and extra days paid holiday between Christmas and New Year.

Aroq HQ is based in Bromsgrove, Worcestershire with fantastic facilities. The right candidate will be able to work from home but will be required in the office for initial training and a minimum two days every month.
