Mergermarket, a market-leading global financial business intelligence service, is looking for a full-time journalist to cover the Private Equity sector from its London office.
Mergermarket is an Acuris media company that provides the advisory, corporate and financial communities with forward-looking intelligence, analysis and data that you simply can't get anywhere else.
The candidate will work within Mergermarket’s editorial equities division and help cover private equity-related mergers and acquisitions (M&A).
The role involves breaking news on Private Equity-led auction processes as well as interviewing Private Equity partners and company senior executives on corporate growth and exit strategies.
The role will require developing a strong network of sources in the private equity and investment community to regularly produce scoops and auction updates, as well as more analytical, in-depth pieces.
The reporter will need impeccable writing skills and have the ability to produce a steady flow of copy under tight deadlines. Aside from being able to comfortably report in English, fluency in another language will also be an advantage.
The ideal candidate will have experience working as a business reporter, be educated to degree level or have equivalent experience and arrive with a self-starter attitude and ambitions to become a leading investigative journalist.
