Mobile News, the leading print and online resource for the mobile telecoms channel has a vacancy for a tenacious and confident reporter starting out on a career in business journalism. Mobile News was launched in 1992 for the new mobile telecoms market and is still that industry's main publication.

The magazine, web site, and newsletter now report on the broader mobile and unified comms telecoms market covering global companies such as Apple, Google, Samsung, Huawei as well as the UL mobile networks and their distribution and retail channels.

Mobile News has built up an enviable reputation for producing accurate and exclusive coverage of the exciting mobile telecoms industry. We write for a non-technical readership so technical knowledge of telecoms is NOT required.

As well as print, you will be involved in keeping our online resource (mobilenewscwp.co.uk) up to date and populating our social media feeds.

The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic about digging out stories, confident and confident in dealing with senior mobile telecoms networks, distributors and vendors

Please apply if you meet these criteria:

  • At least one year's full-time job on a professional B2B publication
  • Ability to write news stories quickly and accurately
  • Confidence feeling with senior business people
  • Not easily bamboozled by PR puff
  • Ability to write to deadlines
  • Resilience (Iike not being easily fobbed off)

We have a flexible mix of office and working from home
