Finextra is looking for an experienced reporter with a background in financial services and technology to join our office in St Pauls. We’re after someone who’ll take end-to-end ownership of projects both large and small, delivering high quality on a significant volume of copy to often tight deadlines. These projects include a combination of traditional journalism – on-site interviews, blogs, news stories, videos and others. Experience in these channels is required.

Finextra is an independent newswire where the opportunities to take on more responsibility move as quickly as you can create them.

Person specification:

  • A reporter with minimum 5+ years’ experience.

  • An enthusiastic, can-do attitude.

  • Proven and demonstrable professional level writing and editing skills.

  • Journalism experience; degree and/or NCTJ training preferable but not necessary.

  • Knowledge of technology and/or financial services – preferably both.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • The ability to effectively manage and prioritise own workload.

Finextra provides independent newswire and information for the worldwide financial technology community. Our services include a global financial technology newswire, a daily e-newsletter with the latest headlines and industry research, articles, white papers and case studies, as well as video and audio content, market data, a jobs board, weekly careers newsletter and sector-specific breaking e-mail newsflashes.
