We are seeking either a promising graduate or junior reporter to join the small, editorial-driven team at The Covered Bond Report and Sustainabonds.

Salary is dependent upon experience.

The Covered Bond Report, with online daily news and a bi-monthly magazine, is the only publication dedicated to an increasingly high profile sector of the financial markets. In 2017 we launched Sustainabonds, covering green and social bond issuance to complement The CBR and other projects, and to engage in a topical and fast-growing field.

The role involves writing daily coverage of deals, regulations and industry moves, alongside bi-monthly features. We are looking for a hard-working individual with high standards, able to produce off-diary journalism, who we hope will be able to progress quickly and take on greater responsibility, with commensurate increases in remuneration. Since you will be working in a small team, it is important that candidates be ready to work in a flexible environment.

Candidates should have a demonstrable interest in current affairs, particularly economics/finance and/or EU policy/law. Ideally you will have a relevant degree or journalism qualification. You should be able to produce news to deadlines, write clear articles, and deal with busy contacts in the financial markets.

The role will involve uploading content and use of social media. Fluency in European languages would be a major advantage. The position will involve several international trips each year, including our annual conference and awards.
