The Role

We are looking for a focused and driven reporter to work predominantly on Police Oracle.

Based in London, this nationwide role has the potential to take you to any part of the UK at any given point.

From writing accurate, breaking news articles quickly and concisely to attending awards evenings or conferences and interviewing politicians or chief constables - the role varies greatly from day-to-day and will suit an NQJ qualified journalist looking to take the next step in their career.

A good understanding of the burning issues within the police and justice world is a must while an interest in home affairs is desirable.

The successful candidate will also understand the importance of social media both in terms of researching articles and promoting their own work.

We want a self-starter who can work on their own, or as part of a small but dedicated team, filing well-written and researched articles on a daily basis to agreed deadlines.
