The Legal 500 is looking for a number of bright and tenacious researchers eager to work across our market-leading international legal directories. Applicants must have an excellent command of spoken and written English, enjoy interviewing senior individuals both over the phone and face-to-face and be able to and work to deadlines. Knowledge of the legal sector is preferable but not essential. Much of the law covered by the Legal 500 guides around the world is commercial, so an interest in business and the City would be helpful. Other language abilities are also an advantage (including German).

Although part of a close-knit team, you will be expected to work with a high degree of autonomy and manage your time effectively. As the series is published worldwide, you may also be expected to travel internationally in time as you progress in your role.
- Gathering details of law firms' recent work, through the collection of written submissions and interviews with senior-level lawyers, both on the telephone and face-to-face
- Gathering opinions on the quality of law firms' work from their clients and rival firms
- Analyse and compare each firm’s practice to create definitive rankings of both firms and their leading lawyers
- Writing comprehensive, in-depth analysis of the leading law firms in key practice areas

The role is full-time, office-based on Fleet Street, London, so applicants must be eligible to work in the UK. Starting salary is £23,000 per annum. We are currently not seeking any freelancers.
