As a senior editor you will be in a tight-knit editorial team, working on a range of intellectual property law titles including World IP Review and life Sciences IP Review; you will commission and edit content across wide subject matter, as well as writing news and features for our publications.

You will need to be an excellent editor and writer, ideally with experience in intellectual property B2B publications, but certainly with demonstrable expertise in commissioning and editing in the B2B field. You will need to understand complex subject matter quickly, and be confident liaising with a diverse contributor pool as well as managing delivery of content. 

Competencies

The role would suit someone with a minimum of two years’ experience in B2B journalism and editing, but we would also consider candidates with a strong track record in other areas of publishing. 

The successful applicant will:

  • Be an excellent writer; 
  • Have proven ability working as an editor; 
  • Be willing to tackle new topics and learn quickly;
  • Have a track record of commissioning strong content;
  • Be a good communicator; 
  • Be able to manage several tasks concurrently; and
  • Work well in a small team.

Newton Media publishes business-to-business magazines in the legal, finance and insurance industries. The company’s offices are in Bromley, which is approximately 20 minutes from central London with regular rail services from London Victoria.
