Red Snapper Media, publishers of the market-leading website PoliceOracle.com, is looking for a part-time senior reporter.

The network receives more than 300,000 monthly unique users - the largest audience of police officers, staff, criminal justice, offender management and rehabilitation practitioners in the UK and also owns other online portals.

We are looking for a focused senior reporter to work on Police Oracle alongside our London-based news team.

Police Oracle covers every police force in England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland and has readers and subscribers across the UK and overseas. Our reporters travel the country interviewing chiefs, politicians, police leaders and rank and file officers. 

The successful candidate will have extensive experience with either regional or national press and will be NCTJ trained having ideally taken, and passed, their NQJ.

A good understanding of the burning issues within the police and justice world are a must, while an interest in home affairs is desirable.

They will also understand the importance of social media in terms of researching articles and promoting their own work.

We want a self-starter who can work on their own, or as part of a small but dedicated team.
