Central Banking Publications is looking for a Staff Writer. The successful candidate will write for our daily news and information service, CentralBanking.com, and the Central Banking Journal. You will write original news stories and longer features, and conduct interviews with senior central bankers. You will also play a key role in the awards process, contribute video interviews to the website and be prepared to sit on conference panels. The role can be based in London or New York with strong opportunities for quick career progression!

Responsibilities include:

  • Develop extensive knowledge of the subject matter

  • Research and write agenda-setting exclusive stories to tight deadlines

  • Develop high-level contacts within the industry

  • Lead research and write-ups of major awards

  • Find, attend and cover industry events

  • Travel worldwide

Qualifications:

  • Experience in journalism is required.

  • Must have knowledge in either economics, financial markets or politics.

  • Excellent written and spoken English is essential.

  • A degree in economics or similar discipline is preferred.
