Telecompaper, a global provider of news and research for professionals in the telecom sector, is hiring a news correspondent to cover German-language markets. The ideal candidate has a good understanding of the German language, excellent written English and a strong interest in all things telecom.
Correspondents follow the news in their selected countries, submitting daily stories and updates on all information relevant to telecoms professionals. Coverage includes the main telecom and ICT service providers, as well as following government regulation and technology developments affecting the telecom sector.
This position will focus on covering news in Germany and Switzerland, with the opportunity to expand to other areas, including research, depending on experience. A good understanding of German is necessary to monitor the local press, while all articles must be submitted in English.
Telecompaper is a profitable, growing business, supported by an international team of experienced journalists and analysts. Correspondents benefit from flexible hours and may perform the job from anywhere with an internet connection. Access is provided to TP's online systems and databases to support research and reporting.
This position is a freelance contract, for an initial one-year term, which may be extended based on performance. Compensation will be based on the successful applicant's experience and may be paid on an hourly or monthly basis.
