RT UK's flagship current affairs show Going Underground is looking for a full-time producer on a one-year contract with a view to becoming permanent. Ideally looking for someone able to start immediately.

The successful candidate will be a self-starter and organised, demonstrating great editorial judgment, strong writing and communication skills and the ability to work both on their own and part of a team, as well as working well under pressure to tight deadlines, in an ever-changing news environment.

Given the demands of the role, applicants should preferably have previous experience in TV production or equivalent, or alternatively, experience in a relevant field. This is a role devoted to finding the angles not seen in mainstream media and breaking exclusive stories on topics ranging from politics to science to the arts - all within a global context. The ideal candidate will have a genuine passion for and interest in all of these subjects.

The producer will be expected to conduct research, write scripts and produce and edit interviews for the show as well as stay on top of news developments, pitch ideas and be invested in finding new ways to stay on the cutting edge of the news agenda. The successful candidate will come with their own ideas on what stories to cover and have the right to work in the UK.

RT has a total weekly audience of 100 million viewers in 47 of the 100+ countries where RT broadcasts are available, In 2020, RT became the first TV news network in the world to hit 10 billion views across its channels on YouTube.
