IPC media has appointed David Moynihan, former editor of FHM.com, as the new digital editor for music sites in its Ignite division.
Moynihan, who will begin his new role in October, will be primarily responsible for editorial development of NME.com and Uncut.co.uk.
He joined FHM's website in 2000, becoming deputy editor in 2004, then editor last January.
"I'm delighted David is joining us," said Paul Cheal, IPC Ignite publishing director.
"His experience at FHM coupled with his passion for both music and the NME makes him the perfect choice for this role."
