A new guide for women media entrepreneurs has been published by UNESCO and developed by SembraMedia.

The document, Media Startups and Viability: A Guide for Women Leaders, is designed for women entrepreneurs and aims to provide practical tools to create, sustain, and strengthen journalism projects, taking into account the structural barriers they face in different contexts.

The guide includes recommendations and resources on:

  • Sustainable business models and revenue diversification
  • Audience development and value proposition
  • Team building and management
  • Safety, well-being, and risk mitigation
  • Impact measurement and strategic partnerships

It is available in EnglishSpanish, and Arabic, and will soon be available in French.
