News Corporation has agreed a deal with its Australian online division News Digital Media (NDM) to serve Australian ads on its international websites.
According to a release from the company , any person with an Australian IP will see ads from Australian advertisers when visiting the Wall Street Journal website, Times Online and The Sun website.
Advertising on News Corp's Barrons.com, MarketWatch and New York Post sites will also be affected as part of the arrangement with NDM, which publishes The Australian website and vogue.com.au.
"WSJ.com (...) is attracting over 150,000 of Australia's top business and thought leaders and policy and decision makers," said Ed Smith, chief commercial officer of NDM, in the statement.
"The quality of the aggregated Australian audiences visiting these sites is arguably unmatched in the international marketplace and we are confident that we will be able to deliver advertisers exposure to Australia’s most influential business and policy makers."
