Associated New Media (ANM) introduced RSS news feeds for the Daily Mail and This is Money websites last week.

RSS automatically sends headlines direct to a reader's desktop or web-based programme as soon as they are published on the site.

The Daily Mail site offers 19 different feeds including world news, motoring and sport. This is Money provides 12 feeds covering its specialist financial content.

"By implementing RSS, we are making it easier for our consumers to access our content in the most convenient way possible," said Mark Milner, chief operating officer of ANM.

"And it means that we as a business can distribute our content updates to consumers instantly."
