UK publisher Emap has signed a deal with video mobile network 3 to provide ringtones and pictures for customers.

The deal means that more than 1.2 million 3 customers will be able to download sounds and pictures from a range of Emap magazine titles including FHM, Kerrang!, Heat and
Empire. More than 2,000 ringtones will be available, and users can download tones or images at a charge of £2.50 each.

"Emap has accelerated its growth into the mobile content market and with 3 now having announced more than 1.2m customers in the UK, more and more people on the 3 network are enjoying Emap's hottest brands," said Andrea Kilbourne, managing director of Emap Interactive.
