ITN On - the digital wing of the TV news provider - has signed a deal with online television platform Joost to provide it with news, entertainment and sports content.

The deal will see two new sports news shows - a weekly bulletin Sports Fix and daily football round-up EPL - aired on Joost, as well as a new weekly film programme Movie Buff.

Viewers will also have access to a series of 90-second video clips of historical events taken from ITN's moving image library, which dates back to the late 19th century.

"ITN will offer Joost viewers content that appeals to both a UK and global audience," said Yvette Alberdingk Thijm, Joost's executive vice president of content strategy and acquisition.

"We're delighted to have ITN on the platform, and look forward to adding more content to their programming line up."
