Men's Health journalist Alex Harris has been named PTC New Journalist of the Year at an awards ceremony this afternoon.

The annual awards from the Periodicals Training Council (PTC), which recognise young talent in the magazine and business media industry, give prizes across eight categories in total.

Harris, who also won New Consumer Journalist of the Year, was described by the judges as a "sensational investigator" who has a "fearless and honest approach".

Moya Sarner from City University, London was named Most Promising Student Journalist, with two other shortlisted entrants in the category being highly commended.
