Daily Snack publishes selected content from other Northern & Shell's titles including OK! magazine, the Daily Express and the Daily Star.
It is designed to attract casual 'lunchtime' users by offering short news snippets as well as horoscopes, a gig guide and a raft of retail offerings including DVD rental.
Farzad Jamal, the group's internet development controller, told MediaGuardian that the site is expected to be profitable within six months.
