Reuters has launched new Indian web and mobile sites to cover South Asian news, business and sport.

The English language Reuters India sites will feature video and text-based news from across India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Nepal and Bangladesh.

Blogs will be integrated in the sites via the Pluck blog network, while Indian, South Asia, and Bollywood video content will come from Times Now. Video will also come from the international news agency's bureaus across the region.

"We have built Reuters India to be the premier online and mobile news destination for the rapidly growing audience of South Asian business professionals, as well as for those around the world who follow the region's development and culture," Reuters India general manager SN Bhaduri, said in a press release.

"Reuters India is an ideal place for advertisers and marketers who want to reach this highly coveted audience."

ShareKhan, one of India's leading online brokerage houses, has joined Reuters as launch advertiser.
