The Daily Telegraph has created a new digital reporting team to cover technology, the internet and media.
To flesh out the new team, Nicole Martin has been promoted from a general reporting role to digital & media correspondent.
City desk technology correspondent Josephine Moulds will join her on the new team. Claudine Beaumont will take the role of digital channel manager, overseeing in-paper and online coverage.
Guy Ruddle has been promoted to multi-media editor. Sumant Bhatia will join him as video editor.
The newspaper has also made changes to its political and parliamentary reporting team.
The Sun’s Andrew Porter will become political editor and has appointed Robert Winnett of the Sunday Times as his deputy. James Kirkup also joins as political correspondent, from The Scotsman.
Toby Helm is to take on a new role as public policy editor. Chris Hope moves to become legal & home affairs correspondent and Philip Johnston joins the Sunday editing rota of senior executives in his position as assistant editor responsible for home affairs.
