Next Digital Editors meeting to focus on paywalls and partnerships

Paywalls and partnerships are the focus of next month's Digital Editors Network (DEN) meeting , the programme for which has been announced today.
Speakers at the event, which is organised in association with the University of Central Lancashire (UCLAN), include MSN's Peter Bale, Tony Johnston from the Press Association and Sarah Hartley, digital editor at the Guardian.
Bale will discuss the portal's recently launched MSN Local site , while Johnston will talk about the PA's forthcoming 'public service reporting' pilot with Trinity Mirror.
The DEN afternoon sessions will be followed by a networking reception and a meeting of the Journalism Leaders Forum (JLF) , which will host a debate on pay walls and charging for online content.
The discussion will be led by Martha Stone, director of the Shaping the Future of the Newspaper Project for the World Association of Newspapers.
The DEN meeting will start at 1pm on October 29 at the Lancashire Evening Post's offices, with the JLF debate running from 6pm to 7:15pm.
