The News of the World has launched a Saturday mobile edition that breaks its Sunday stories the evening before the print edition appears.
The subscription-based service uses a small java application that readers download to their mobile. Content is then sent to phones using the GPRS connection.
To initially access the service readers need to text NOTW to the short form number 60040 to receive a link to download the service.
"The reader proposition is very compelling," said Andrew Bagguley, head of mobile at News Group Newspapers.
"We are offering a personal and rich insight into Sunday's paper which includes pictures, video, stats and exceptional journalistic content, before anyone else has the chance to see it."
